1. A near-perfect climate
The climate of Barbados is unique in that it achieves a consistent happy medium between unbearable heat and the familiar coolness that British visitors are keen to escape. Fanned by pleasant ocean breezes, temperatures on the island average the high twenties in summer, yet Barbados enjoys unbroken sunshine for up to nine hours a day. Short showers reduce humidity, enhancing the quali
